Privacy notice.
What we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. Part 1 covers anyone who visits this website. Part 2 is the privacy policy we give every client.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share contact information with anyone for their marketing. Questions about anything on this page go to Brian Luhman, our Chief Compliance Officer, at brian@luhmanwealthpartners.com.
Part 1: Visiting this website
What we collect
Information you give us. If you send a note or a question through a form on this site, we receive what you type: your name, your email address, your message, and the page you sent it from. If you book an intro call, the booking runs through Calendly, which collects your name, your email address, and your answers to a few short questions so we can prepare for the call. Calendly handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request) to keep the site secure and running. We keep our own log of page requests too: the page, the time, the site that referred you, your browser type, and the approximate location (country, state, and city) your IP address points to. That log doesn't include the address itself or anything that identifies you. When you submit a form, we record your IP address and browser type with the submission to help us tell real messages from spam. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It works without cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and gives us totals (pages viewed, where visitors came from, country, device type), not records of individual people.
Cookies and similar tools. This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising. It uses your browser's session storage for two small conveniences (remembering that you closed the booking bar and that you've already seen the page introduction), and both clear when you close your browser. Services embedded on the site, the Calendly scheduler on the booking page and Google Fonts, which delivers the site's typefaces, may collect information under their own policies. We don't allow advertising networks or data brokers on the site, and no third party collects information about your activity across other websites through this site. Because the site doesn't track you, it doesn't change its behavior in response to "Do Not Track" signals.
Links to other sites. This site links to outside services such as Calendly, NAPFA, XY Planning Network, CFP Board, LinkedIn, and the SEC's adviser database. Each has its own privacy policy, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
How we use it
To reply to you, to schedule and prepare for your call, to keep the site secure, and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a registered investment adviser. Messages you send us become part of our business records, and securities rules require us to keep client and prospect communications for at least five years.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about scheduling and the work we're doing together. We don't send marketing texts. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to anyone for marketing, and are shared with service providers only as needed to deliver the messages or as required by law. Like our other communications, text messages are archived as part of our books and records.
Your choices
Email us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it where the law and our record-keeping obligations allow. If you'd rather not use the forms or the scheduler, you can always email us directly.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this website notice, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Changes to the Privacy Policy in Part 2 go to clients within 30 days, as described below.
Part 2: Our Privacy Policy
Brian Luhman Financial Planning LLC dba Luhman Wealth Partners ("BLFP") recognizes that our relationships with current and prospective clients are based on integrity and trust. We work hard to maintain your privacy and to preserve the private nature of our relationship with you. We place the highest value on the information you share with us. We want our clients to understand what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your personal information.
Why we collect your information
We gather information about you so that we can:
- Help design and implement the investment and financial planning related services we provide you; and
- Comply with the federal and state laws and regulations that govern us.
What information we collect and maintain
We may collect the following types of "nonpublic personal information" about you:
- Information from our initial meeting or subsequent consultations about your identity, such as your name, contact information, Social Security number, date of birth, and financial information;
- Information that we generate to service your financial needs; and
- Information that we may receive from third parties in connection with the services we provide you.
What information we disclose
We are permitted by law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to unaffiliated third parties in certain circumstances. BLFP may disclose a client's nonpublic personal information:
- To individuals and/or entities not affiliated with BLFP, including, but not limited to, third parties that assist in the supervision or management of your account(s) (for example, sub-advisers, your account custodian, a record keeper, or your attorney);
- To service providers contracted by us in order for us to perform the duties in furtherance of your engagement with BLFP (for example, client management systems, archiving technology vendors, and cloud service providers);
- To your authorized representative or power of attorney;
- When we receive your prior consent;
- In connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger, or transfer of all or a portion of our business; and
- As otherwise permitted in accordance with applicable federal and/or state privacy regulations.
We will not sell your personal information. No contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Because we share nonpublic personal information only as described above, there is nothing you need to opt out of. In the event that BLFP has a change to its client privacy policy that would allow it to disclose nonpublic personal information not covered under applicable law, BLFP will allow its clients the opportunity to opt out of such disclosure.
How we protect your personal information
We restrict and limit access to client information only to those who need it to carry out their business functions. We safeguard client information by preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your confidential personal information. Arrangements with companies or independent contractors not affiliated with BLFP are subject to confidentiality agreements.
Former clients
Even if we cease to provide you with financial services, our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you, and we will continue to treat your nonpublic personal information with strict confidentiality. We maintain all records regarding former clients for the retention period required by law.
Questions
Clients are encouraged to discuss any questions regarding our privacy policies and procedures directly with Brian Luhman, Chief Compliance Officer of BLFP, at brian@luhmanwealthpartners.com or by phone at the number in the footer of this site.
